Quest' opera progettata da un ingegnere di nome Carlo Gaudenzi, si inserisce nella storia di Cremona del '900 e in origine vi è una storia di luce, o meglio bisogno di luce. Cercando notizie ho letto che l'elioterapia in riva al Po nacque per necessità già nel maggio del 1915 e nello stesso mese in cui l'Italia entrò in guerra, venne istituito un Comitato pro colonie cremonesi del Po che si prefiggeva di assistere l'infanzia più disagiata. Soltanto dopo, vi furono le strumentalizzazioni cui venne sottoposta durante il regime fascista e nei decenni che seguirono, i tentativi di recupero e gli sfruttamenti vari, l'abbandono. Questa struttura degli anni trenta che trovo interessante per la forma e lo sviluppo del progetto originale, è riemersa dopo la recente ristrutturazione che ha valorizzato la sua peculiare armonia con l'ambiente circostante ricco di essenze vegetali padane. A volte, dopo la pioggia vi è qui un'atmosfera un respiro e una luce naturale assai armoniche...
