A Ourense lived Estanislao "Lalao" Reverter... the character featured in this beautiful photograph.
He was a Rally driver and a builder... and he is always credited with organising the Ourense Rally.
In 1971 I was racing with an Alpine A 110 car on which he had set up the engine of a Porsche... probably this one of the monument.

Nel 1971 gareggiò con una vettura Alpine A 110 su cui aveva istallato il motore di una Porsche 911 R: questa del monumento... che fu denominata "Alpinche" dal binomio Alpine e Porsche.
L'altro personaggio visibile nella fotografia è Antonio Coleman il suo fido navigatore nei rally.
