L'aria che si respira ricca di anidride solforosa non è piacevole e anche nociva come ricorda il cartello col teschio (:-D) ma il luogo affascina per colori e paesaggio lunare al centro della depressione circondata dalla vegetazione che comprende anche delle betulle che vi si sono sciluppate grazie al particolare microclima diverso da quello della zona circostante. Un luogo particolare che merita una visita. Consigliati stivaletti alti per muoversi meglio nelle zone fangose, soprattutto nelle stagioni piovose.
