My second mineral Moon (bis) sent on October 02, 2018 (18:04) by Daniele Bonfiglio. 12 comments, 1198 views.

1/250 ISO 100, tripod.

Aspetto i vostri commenti!

Certainly better than the other, Daniele, but to be the direct fire lacks a bit ' of sharpness...
Because only 100 total frames, you have trouble chasing? What was the seeing?

Damn daniel, You use a very tiring Technique. I think if you want to continue astrophotographing with a minimum of comfort, especially if with higher focal lengths, you will have to consider the purchase of a tracker....
for focus You can try a bright star: it's easier than an extended surface like the Moon. When the point will have the smaller size will be in Focus.
for collimation I do not think there is to worry, never heard a mak scollimato. However try to blur a bright star and check if the circles that are formed around are symmetrical...

Eh Yes Mark I'm Realizing it too... Let's say I started with the visual observation where the lack of motorization is not essential, indeed... Now that I have started photographing things change, but before evaluating any purchases I would see what results I can get without chase! ;-) 8-)
Thanks for your other suggestions, i'll try to put them into practice! hello, Daniele

Good improvement!
Question: Why pretreat the RAW before the sum? In doing so you could distort creating things that on realemte images are not there and Autostakkert could also not align/sum them correctly; Making a result with very little sharpness...
Try to add the raw (they say rough just because they should not be touched before :-D) without alterations and then do after the Adjustments. See if there are differences ;-)

Thank you very much slashleo, I am glad that you consider it a good improvement! Use Pipp to center the moon (since I don't chase!) and make it a pre-alignment, and also to cross the image because the moon occupies about 1600x1600 pixels of about 5000x3000 pixels total of each frame (i remind you that I use a reducer 0, 5x that I am comfortable right Because I do not chase). Either way, if I remember correctly, if I use Autostakkert directly on the RAW not croppati I do not just memory of the PC! ;-) Anyway next time I will also do a test without using PIPP to see if there are differences... ;-) hello, Daniele

This could be an Excuse!! :-D :-D
Try adding them with Registax5, it seems to me it is more stable version for I. CR2.

Thanks slashleo, i'll try with registax! :-D :-D :-D
Anyway looking at a few days after these pictures of the moon, in fact I realize that the latter is much more natural while the first was really "too Much"! :-D :-D :-D

;-)
I always use this approach: I work out the images, except, I sleep up and in the evening after Rechecking. 55% of the time I do not like and start over again! :-D
