at 47mm, 1/160 f/11.0, ISO 100, tripod.

Very cured in the realization, I like!
is not a genre I know well but I would say you're on track!
The important thing is that you have returned the pleasure of photographing that you had a little ' lost (following the blog).
Congratulations!
Michele

Thanks Michele, I realized that at the moment I have to take the photograph a bit as it comes.. I have ideas and I want to make them... without becoming overly crazy :-)

The shadows should be cleared, see tomatoes, plums, cheese...
Better first in the shooting phase but also after in post-production if the recovery does not bring out too much noise.

Yes I tried during shooting with a reflective panel on the right side.. But it introduced reflections on the glass that I did not like... I have to revise this aspect because I would like to do as much as possible during the shoot and not in post..
also the food seems to come out of the fridge (and in fact it is), while I should make it look cooler, wet but natural.
Finally I mixed so many ingredients incompatible with each other (but only because it is a test)... next test will decrease the objects in the scene.

Hi Berserk. As you have already written and you pointed out, the scene is a little dark and there are a little ' too many items on the table. As far as I'm concerned, I'd have left a little more air in the upper third. As it is, I am slightly claustrophobic. I looked at your galleries and it turns out that you can do it for technique and composition. I expect, therefore, from you of the great still life. A greeting
Jep

If I can get a beginner's advice one thing I understand with my experience is that the more things you have in the scene and different materials among them, the more difficult is the management of light; So my advice is: to impratate parts with few objects.
I have many things I still have to learn I hope you don't mind my meddling.
A greeting Maila :-)

Imagine Maila! In fact it is nice to receive observations and considerations... I think that anyone can get valuable advice.
The next still life in fact I'm going to do it in the opposite direction.. minimal: A bottle of Passito and a glass... on reflective surfaces:) In order to learn the management of reflected light in glass and mirrors.

I read your message on the blog and tell you something as a friend if you allow me :-P: Forget the word "learn" and focus on the word "Have fun" and you'll see that you will learn more and more.
Good light
