But it's not in focus

Well no, it's really in focus, only on the head of a pistil, ok, but that's enough to be able to call it "in focus".
Then, of course, a good part of the sharpness was eaten by the scan, but I can always show you the original eh!

Perfect: it's the fault of the scanner that scans on different planes

Yes, we say it's the scanner's fault but in reality it's not even like that.
The scanner used, the Nikkor Coolscan 5000 ED is actually an excellent tool, and with that resolution it creates a file of about 21 megapixels, the point, however, is that a frame of Velvia, in those lighting conditions, contains a number of information equivalent to at least 60 megapixels... so the loss of detail that follows is evident.

I find it hard to understand: if you give it it was perfectly focused because only one pistil is in focus in the scan. I have scanned many slides and it has never happened to me.
PS the photo as it is published is ugly

Giusto fino a qui no?

1 - dettaglio;
2 - luce;
3 - inquadratura;
4 - composizione;
5 - idea e sua realizzazione;

O no?

Is this the only question?

I concentrated well and saw that not even the pistil is in focus.

I explained to you that it is in focus but it is not very detailed, and I also explained why.

Blurred or not very detailed (in an uneven way) nothing changes: it is a bad photo that in my Fotoclub would be immediately trashed. But if you like it, that's fine.

Well in your photo club obviously I would show the original projected as I know how to do, and then, I hope you will forgive me for the apparent immodesty, it would all be a succession of thuds of jaws crashing to the ground :-D
