, 1/125 f/10.0, ISO 160, hand held. Specie: Vipera aspis

Wow Borchiax I wonder how the hell you do to make certain photos with a 15 mm. :-o :-o :-o
to how many cm. You have to approach in order to take a similar shot and how dangerous this can be... I speak from ignorant but certain "beasts" are not exactly quiet!!!
sincerely admired and even a little scared greet you and I make you my most sincere congratulations!

Hi Yura and thanks!
the distance to which I am comfortable with the snakes to take macro set is between 15 and 20 cm (of course changes a bit according to size of the beast and background).
never attack when you photograph them but only if handled or annoyed, in fact they are much more timid and shy than you think, and use aggression only if they do not really have alternatives:)

That's so cool! I love your photos :-o I do not know why they seem so difficult to reproduce! It would be great to see you at work in the field

Beautiful this photo set with the subject in the foreground, and interesting to observe this coloring so dark

Great shot. Beautiful coloring of this specimen. It seems to me that the weather was half-naked, and I am not surprised at all...... rather usual to find the melanotic or melancholy specimens out with the time ugly.

@Matteo:
Thanks! Let's say that the difficulty is more than other technique and in the case of poisonous snakes requires a little ' experience, for the rest is quite simple:)
@Marco:
Thanks Mark, for SSP. francisciredi of central Italy is quite rare and limited to Populations present in high altitude
@Fabrizio
Thank you! The weather was quite variable but I waited for a few minutes for a cloud to be "diffuser" :-)
