Heart and Spirit Nebulae in Cassiopeia, shooting under a spectacular Sardinian sky on September 4, 2018. The light power of 400mm f2,8 combined with the response in the red Canon 6d Baader I have returned a result that (after several attempts) finally satisfies me.

Hello, the signal harvest is great, but I think you exaggerated a bit with the saturation also I see the stars a bit ' red.

On the orange color (more than red) of the stars I noticed it too, and I think it is a bit ' due to the nebular filter used a bit ' to a possible chromatic residue of the optics (it is always a 400 2.8!). For the red too load, you can always attenuate or tweak a little, on my monitor it seemed ok so, but it is also a matter of personal taste of course...
Thanks in any case of the advice, I admit that with a reflex is never easy to keep everything under control....

For me it is a great photo, also considered the subject "not easy" :-) the red is not easy to handle as color..

They are only 8-minute poses at 1600 ISO ef f2,8. With D1 filter to enhance a hair the nebulosita.

Well I would say great! I guess you've also enjoyed a little observation with the naked eye...

Unfortunately I had with me only the 400 2.8, which is poorly suited to a visual use, and a refractor from 102... But already with the naked eye the show was remarkable!

The 400 behaves really well!
I tried the 135 f/2, but as the focus was perfect the stars came too big.
I hope everything depended on the humidity.

The Canon F2 135 or Samyang? I have the Canon and to make it perfect I prefer to close it to 2.8.
In This photo However, the D1 filter helped me to attenuate the stars a little.

The Canon. Using it on the ASI unfortunately I have no control over the diaphragms. I also have a 100L macro f/2.8. I should try it to see if the problem is the maximum aperture regardless.
The 300l, at its maximum aperture (F/4), was pretty much perfect.

Giancarlo made to mill a cap to put on the lens.. Reduce the diameter of the 135 and also the aperture... you could try
to limit throw away a few euros

A step-down ring 72-49 will be enough to get more or less the 2.8 diaphragm. From China you take it to a shipped euro! It is screw like a filter and does not create strange vignetting since it is a fixed tele. Different would be for more wide optics or zooms.

Great.
Thanks for the info.
today, to take away the doubt, I will also try the 100 F/2.8.
