Lo zooming è una tecnica particolare, che si mette in atto ruotando la ghiera dello zoom dell'obbiettivo mentre l'otturatore è aperto. Ovviamente occorrono tempi di scatto sufficientemente lunghi da consentire che nell'immagine resti impressa la variazione di focale, provocando così l'effetto tipico dello zooming, che sembra quasi un tunnel (da qui il titolo di questa foto). Anche questo scatto, come i due precedenti, è stato fatto con il Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM. In realtà è nato come uno scatto di prova, quasi casuale, ma trovo che la composizione sia molto azzeccata. Ci sono molte linee oblique che convergono verso il centro del fotogramma, e aiutano a portare lo sguardo verso il ponte sullo sfondo: sulla destra la ringhiera, il filare di alberi e il bordo del fiume, e il tetto, la serie di finestre e ancora la riva del canale sulla sinistra. Tutte queste linee, unite alla deformazione tipica dello zooming, accentuano l'effetto tunnel, rendendo lo scatto particolare ma al tempo stesso piacevole alla vista. E' inoltre interessante notare come la zona al centro del fotogramma (quella del condominio rosa e del ponte) sia quasi normale e non deformata, mentre le ovviamente le zone ai bordi sono pesantemente soggette dall'effetto tunnel; in questo modo è ancora più forte la sensazione provata dall'osservatore, che si sente quasi "aspirato" all'interno della fotografia, come fosse un varco temporale che lo riporta al giorno dello scatto.
