Sempre “alla ricerca della valle incantata”, la storia della mia vita. Quello tra virgolette era il titolo del mio cartone animato preferito, che qualcuno ricorderà. Esplorando queste foreste mi sono immedesimato in uno dei curiosi dinosauri alla ricerca della salvezza e della beatitudine: un coro di uccelli fra le brume tiene il mio sguardo vispo e attento, mi sforzo di seguirli aguzzando l'udito finché le nebbie non si sfalderanno concedendomi di assistere alla nascita di questo nuovo giorno, o forse alla nascita del mondo… Lo stormo è appena visibile e sfreccia sopra la mia testa cantando il suo inno all'alba per poi svanire nel bianco. Pochi istanti e il paesaggio mi si rivela, nitido e primordiale; mi strofino gli occhi e quelle creature danzanti fanno nuovamente ritorno, conficcandosi nel dipinto che ricordo di aver visto in qualche sogno... Ho raggiunto la mia beatitudine. Quanta bellezza, sono salvo! (Immagine scattata in una foresta vergine del Cile)
