Sulle rive del Lago Inle, in Myanmar , non si possono non notare i pescatori che sfrecciano sull'acqua quasi danzando, remando in equilibrio sulle canoe. I pescatori locali pilotano infatti tradizionalmente le lunghe imbarcazioni usando le gambe, rimanendo in equilibrio su un piede e vogando aiutandosi con l'interno dell'altra gamba. Una tecnica usata solo qui. Tuttavia questa modalità di pesca è praticata solo dagli uomini. Le donne remano con mani e braccia, restando sedute a gambe incrociate.
