Questo è uno degli scatti più inaspettati di tutto il viaggio: Ci trovavamo, insieme ad i nostri corsisti, a metà strada del viaggio da Jökulsárlón a Vik, e ci fermammo in questa infinita distesa di muschio e licheni vicino la famosa Laufskalavarda, con le sue imponenti torri di pietra. Appena arrivati c'era una leggera pioggia, con una cappa infinita di nuvole che copriva ogni spiraglio di luce, ed ognuno di noi era sparso in questo mondo incredibile perché volevamo scoprirlo il più possibile prima di ripartire. Ad un certo punto iniziò ad uscire qualche spiraglio di luce dalle nuvole, così chiamai Alessandro e facemmo in modo di costruire questo scatto: posizionammo la macchina fotografica e le sue impostazioni, la testa panoramica sul cavalletto e ci mettemmo in posizione, cosicché uno dei nostri fantastici corsisti ci potesse scattare questa meraviglia.
