Una foto che meditavo di scattare da tanti anni. Di questa bellissima casa, arroccata sulla pietra lavica, seguo da sempre le sue vicende. Fino a non molto tempo fa era diroccata e guardandola mi piangeva il cuore, perché una simile abitazione merita di restare sempre in vita. Fortunatamente gli avveduti proprietari hanno deciso di ristrutturarla partendo da zero. Manca qualche piccolo dettaglio, ma ormai il suo splendore è tornato agli antichi fasti e quel che la rende ancora più attraente ai miei occhi è la meravigliosa vista di cui gode: dietro, come si vede in foto, svetta maestosa l'Etna, davanti (alle mie spalle) invece il mare.
