Ancora i puffins delle isole Farne:questa é stata scattata durante il soggiorno dello scorso anno. I pulcinella si vedono frequentemente in giro con,nel becco, le sand eels che saranno poi portate ai piccoli in attesa nei nidi scavati nella terra. Spesso i pulcinella utilizzano le tane scavate dai coniglietti selvatici per nidificare, servendosi dei potenti becchi per rifinire il lavoro di adattamento delle buche preesistenti alle loro esigenze. Purtroppo non sono riuscita a vedere nessuno dei pulli, che erano ancora nei nidi, attorno ai quali c'era un gran traffico dei genitori
Still the puffins of the Farne Islands: This was taken during the stay last year. The puffins are seen frequently around with, in its beak, the sand eels that will be brought to the small waiting in nests dug in the ground. Often using puffin burrows made by wild rabbits to nest, using the powerful beaks to finish the job of adapting existing holes to their needs. Unfortunately I could not see any of the chicks, which were still in the nest, around which there was a lot of traffic of parents

Io c'ero il 13-14 luglio (avevo fatto tutto il giro della Scozia e dopo le Farne sono andato a Bempton Cliffs, un posto davvero fantastico).
