La femmina di Sula Piediazzurri depone da due a tre uova in piccole insenature sul terreno, senza costruire il nido. Durante il periodo di cova, la femmina defeca sul posto, per cui le uova si trovano circondate da una sorta di muretto circolare di escrementi. In caso di scarsità di cibo, i genitori scelgono di nutrire il pulcino più grande come in questo caso.
