Hiroshima si è presentata così grigia e piovosa,fredda e triste,gli anni sono passati ma l impatto che ho avuto è stato quello di una città che nn ha dimenticato.è una città che porta ancora dentro sé, indelebili, le ferite della bomba atomica. Tutto, in questo centro che sorge a sud del Giappone, sembra urlare dolore. La tristezza traspare, trasuda sui volti, sui palazzi, lungo le rive del Motoyasu-gawa. Non è tanto la bellezza dei monumenti ad attrarre turisti e visitatori, quanto il sentimento di solitudine ed estranea tranquillità che vi si respira. Mentre cercavo riparo dalla pioggia,un uomo incurante del tempo si avvicina al monumento in silenzio,pregando davanti al memorial,i nostri sguardi si sono incrociati mi sono sentito tanto in disagio dal fatto d essere occidentale,forse è stata una mia paranoia...
