Sardegna 1970, avevo 17 anni io e il mio amico Pippo, siamo andati in Sardegna. Il nostro intento era fotografare le persone che vivono nelle zone rurali, con mezzi di fortuna arriviamo a Oliena in provincia di Nuoro, allora un piccolo paese di contadini, la gente indossava ancora i costumi tradizionali. Ci alloggio un pastore che ci offri da dormire in una stanza adibita a stalla per le capre (dormivamo con loro). Avevo una 6x6 polacca, tipo rolleiflex, ma molto più economica. Cercavamo di stabilire dei contatti, ma nessuno ci parlava, la lingua, la diffidenza, non sapevamo perché. Ma dopo 3 giorni che frequentavamo una cantina dove si riunivano gli uomini, finalmente accettarono a farsi fotografare, attrezzai cavalletto e apparechio fotografico ed ecco le foto. Ho trovato solo questi negativi, ne avevo fatte molte di più, ma si sono persi. Oggi quel mondo non esiste più, per me e il mio amico Pippo era gia lontanissimo dalla nostra quotidianità di cittadini del continente. Ogni foto una storia, ogni storia una scoperta, nel tempo, il mio che con questi scatti diventa anche Vostro.
