Molto graditi commenti e suggerimenti

Nice catch 8-Congratulations)
It is not easy to grasp a moment of true nature like this. Even more difficult is to have a good focus with a subject so three-dimensional..
Being on tripod you could dare a more closed diaphragm to make more readable the wings of the butterfly that appear too blurry (IMHO)... good everything else..

Thanks for the passage and the Council Ales5a78, I actually did a shot with F/11 but I preferred this where the attention falls on the spider and the body of Pieris, so that the wings that fade give the idea of the butterfly that slowly ceases to live; I know maybe it's a little poetic... haha! A greeting

Sad and juicy the scene, depends on the points of view.

A condition in which you generally have a static scene for some time, so if possible you should have sought a good compromise between parallelism and PDC to have better readability even on the butterfly.

Good morning Pigi47 , I also did shots at F/11 and F/16 but due to the wind and flickers induced by the spider that blocked the butterfly I had to turn up a lot of the ISO to have good times but the noise induced I did not like. So I opted for this shot where the only fire on the spider and the front of the butterfly does not mind. Probabilente the use of a flash would help thanks anyway for the advice always welcome

I would agree with Pigi47 but reading your answer I understand that better you could not do, I would have opted for a focus stacking but I understand that between wind and the movements of the spider while feeding it would not succeed... In any case the photo remains very appreciable considering the perfect fire on the spider and butterfly carp so congratulations! :-)
A
Rinaldo greeting

Thank you very much Ringhio . Yes Pigi47 was absolutely right, the solution would have been the flash, and I can happily say that I'm working on that too. :-)
