In my opinion you did a great job, unfortunately the backlight bigstopper with a wide variety of filters is never the best because as you may have noticed are a factory flare ... :-DI flare cmq are not a problem, just desauturi almost completely the offending part and then you adjust the layer mask, after doing a level "levels" and adjust the contrast. Allow me to put a link on how I placed your image: [URL =] img84.imageshack.us/img84/7200/284398p.jpg You is raw with a little time you can certainly do better ;-)
For the rest, I'd say you made the best because it seems a little narrow place. The central sun does not make me die, but I know that with the rocks on the right you could not do much. In terms of post, I darkened the water to the orizzone because that is a littleand pretend I increased a bit the legibility of those rocks almost blacks.
Overall, a good job, I think if there is a little smanetti Vuori a pretty picture. :-)

Compliments

I find excellent choice of backlight for this type of subject: spectacular as the detail is modeled on the rocks in the foreground and the mean field thanks to this choice of light.
For the flare instead it enough to repeat the shot by placing a finger of your hand close to the sun, so as to "cover" to avoid flare. Then in post you could blendare the two shots, thus recovering the parties affected by the flare.

Trucchettino .. hehe! :-P
A salutone, congratulations

Composition and light are very nice, good flare for the advice of Mauritius, I usually I carry a black card but the operation is the same, however also good work in the Fox post ;-), I think there was a good Nd from about 3 stops that t'avrebbe allowed to open a couple of the aperture stop (if the pdc enabled) and up to 100 iso recovering a little 'range in the highlights.
Great shot, congratulations.
