Il pontile fu ristrutturato grazie ad un progetto di riqualificazione e bonifica territoriale, che vide la sua inaugurazione nell'anno 2005. Aperto al pubblico, è meta di amanti dello jogging e a chi vuole fare rilassanti passeggiate, godendo dello splendido panorama del golfo di Pozzuoli e le varie isole di Ischia, Procida e, alla sua sinistra, la piccola Nisida citata anche in una canzone di E.
