Colias crocea ? Famiglia: Pieridae Specie: Colias crocea Autore: (Geoffroy, 1785) Dimensioni: apertura alare 42-50 mm. Descrizione: specie dalle ali color giallo-arancio con margini scuri macchiati di giallo solo nelle femmine. Queste ultime, a volte, sono color crema (forma helice) e possono essere confuse con specie affini. Comunque questa farfalla, se non in volo, difficilmente mostra il dorso delle ali. Il rovescio è giallo sfumato di verdognolo con macchie nere post-discali, sulle ali anteiori, e macchie chiare, orlate di rosso, su quelle posteriori. Distribuzione e habitat: frequenta tutti i luoghi fioriti ed essendo una buona volatrice, con attitudini migratorie, la si osserva nei più svariati ambienti. Il bruco si sviluppa su diverse leguminose spesso Vicia, Trifolio ed Erba medica. Presente in tutta l'Italia continentale ed isole dal limite fin oltre i 2000 metri.
