Questa foto è il risultato di 183 giorni di esposizione , realizzata dal solstizio invernale a quello estivo , con una fotocamera Pinhole , costruita da una lattina di birra da 1l e un foglio di carta fotosensibile posta al suo interno . La super sovraesposizione ha permesso di ottenere l'immagine senza l'uso dei chimici fotografici . Il Sole , che si muoveva da sinistra a destra , ogni girono lasciava una traccia nuova sul foglio. Le lacune sulle strisciate sono la testimonianza dei giorni più nuvolosi , che bloccavano la luce del Sole.
