Poco sopra i laghi d'olbe sono presenti delle postazioni e ricoveri militari, scavati lungo l'affilato crinale montuoso, risalenti alla prima guerra mondiale. Guardando attraverso una delle feritoie, con il vento che entrava prepotente, ho provato ad immaginare come potesse essere la quotidianità dei militari, miei coetanei di un secolo fa. Il moschetto in spalla, infagottati meglio che potevano per difendersi dal freddo pungente, tremanti nella tormenta o bruciati dal sole nelle altre stagioni, ho avuto la triste sensazione di essere per un momento uno di loro e mi si è stretto il cuore.
