Un'area di tre ettari in riva al fiume Brembo, degradata e piena di rifiuti, compreso un rilevante quantitativo di lastre di amianto è stata bonificata, riconvertita in oasi naturalistica, denominata OASI DEL PICCHIO VERDE e gestita dall'associazione che presiedo. Anni di battaglie con le varie amministrazioni affinché questa antica cava, poi gestita come tesa di caccia e successivamente abbandonata venisse recuperata. Trovati finalmente i fondi dalla regione sono partiti i lavori durati quasi un anno. Attualmente è strutturata a laghetto e palude con presenza di canneti e flora autoctona. Sono stati per il momento realizzate alcune quinte di osservazione che si prestano anche alla fotografia; alla mia associazione è demandata oltre che la manutenzione e il censimento delle specie anche la costruzione dei capanni fotografici veri e propri.
Nessuna forzatura, solo la natura ha pensato ad introdurre spontaneamente l'avifauna, rettili e mammiferi.
Al momento, e siamo attivi da pochi mesi, si segnala la presenza oltre che dei soliti germani, folaghe, gallinelle e aironi vari, anche poiana, nibbio bruno, sparviere, picchio verde, picchio rosso maggiore, tuffetto, tarabusino, martin pescatore e diversi passeracei. Rettili quali tartarughe e natrix, mammiferi come il coniglietto selvatico e attraverso tracce in foto trappola siamo sicuri della presenza della volpe e del tasso.
Tutto incredibilmente in un anno e senza introduzione forzata. Personalmente ma assieme agli amici presenti sul forum TeoMC, MaximusBG, Cassinet, Fabix e Makhe membri dell'associazione naturalistica siamo orgogliosi del risultato che premia i nostri sforzi e impegni.
Apro le danze con questa foto ambientata che ritrae un martino fra i pioppi che crescono nel laghetto.
