Gabriele, congratulations.
for all that concerns composition, light, technique, I leave the word to Alberto and Simone, who will arrive for sure and are enormously more competent and authoritative than me.
I tell you that in my opinion your image conveys an idea, without carrying the weight of the discomfort associated with it. I think it is an excellent result in landscape photography, especially when this is not purely documentary, but it carries a message with it.
I like it very, really good!
Hello :-)

Thank you as always for your analysis never trivial and well-argued!
You have undoubtedly centered the issue, Ovvvero, I had an idea and I wanted to work on that.. The wind on this island is the most intrusive, obvious natural manifestation, it shapes the landscape and forces the adventurer to adapt in part to it.. for so I Wanted through a short project photographing it in its most scenic Manifestaioni ;-)

I saw the video.. Impressive.. But I didn't understand you were still?
This photo is perhaps even better than the other, the immersive effect is even more accentuated.
Maybe, seeing the other one, could you propose it vertically, or does it not convince you?
Compliments

Hello Simone! No one was able to understand that video :-D some Addiruttura they thought I was in the car :-o
simply as the sand ran towards me, I indietreggiavo.. :-)
A vertical version could be plausible, but on the moment I did not see that cut..
Thanks Simo for the thought expressed!

I wanted to ask you, but with all that sand against the reflex, you were quiet or you crapped on like me on the dunes of Corallejo :-D
I saw that you had the DNG filter mounted, I do not use them, but anyway the sand is a nasty beast.

It was a Simo challenge! This image refers to the first day and I must say that initially I was made to find some unprepared by nature.. On the second day I managed the situation well with some tricks.. Anyway I had sand everywhere and the mounted plate polarizer was continually being cleaned:) The two days spent here with these conditions in moments I couldn't even stand were some of the funniest photographic sessions I've ever done ;)

The waves on the sand lead you to the mountain that looks like the subject but in the end it is not... beautiful and intriguing! Congratulations

Congratulations Gabriele, very nice lines of the surface in the foreground that dissolve bringing you to the mountains.
seem like so many dancing spirits!
I was there, I think that not only I would not have pulled the camera out of the backpack... but indeed! I would have also tried an airtight bag to fix it all!
I think I'm getting too freaky about the equipment.... :-D
