Si narra che in un bel pomeriggio d'estate una giovane fata che voleva dissetarsi si sporse sull'acqua del fiume, ma scivolò e cadde nell'acqua. La corrente la trasportò rapidamente, come un fuscello di paglia. Senza la sua bacchetta magica che era rimasta nell'erba, la fatina era perduta. Allora le fatine delle acque si precipitarono ad aiutarla. Con un battito di mani fecero alzare un'onda che sollevò la piccola fata verso l'azzurro cielo estivo. Mentre ricadevano, le piccole gocce d'acqua si trasformarono in libellule. Ecco perché fra le loro ali di velo si impigliano ancora le gocce d'acqua
