Si chiamò “Cacciatori delle Alpi” il corpo di volontari guidato da Garibaldi che fu la spina nel fianco dell'armata austriaca nella seconda guerra d'indipendenza italiana, combattuta dalla Francia e dal Regno di Sardegna contro l'Austria dal 27 aprile 1859 al 12 luglio 1859. Colui del ritratto è una comparsa presenziante nella rievocazione della battaglia che si svolse a Vinzaglio (NO), il 30 maggio 1859. #RievocazioniStoriche
