Questo enorme castagno centenario si trova a 50 m dalla mia stamberga in un borgo abbandonato (tranne quando ci sono io, per circa sei mesi l'anno) in montagna. Ho già letto molte storie fantasiose a proposito di questo albero. La più diffusa è che fosse un antico deposito degli attrezzi. In realtà la porta per accedere al suo interno cavo è stata fatta, su mia idea, dal proprietario nel 1986 per farci giocare alcuni bambini, tra cui mio figlio. All'epoca, al suo interno, avevamo sistemato anche un tavolino e due panchette.
