Non si può pensare al Perù senza pensare a Machu picchu. Possono entrare solo 400 persone al giorno. Arrivato alle 9 sono salito sulla sommità dell'altura che lo domina dalla parte dell'ingresso. Non si vedeva niente, tutto era immerso tra le nuvole; avevo il cuore in gola per lo sgomento. Poi, in 2 ore, mano a mano che saliva il sole le nubi si diradavano; come se una fata magicamente dall'alto sollevasse un telo di organza bianca per far comparire l'agognato gioiello.
