18 Maggio, ore 20.00 circa. La foto tecnicamente so non essere di buona qualità ma rappresenta per me un documento importante, forse una delle scene più belle che mi siano capitate in questi 10 anni di naturalistica. Una lupa adulta decide di scagliarsi contro uno dei due giovani orsi, la femmina, nettamente più piccola in dimensioni (nella foto si intravede solo la testa, al lato estremo di destra) ma il fratello reagisce scagliandosi contro e scacciandola. La cosa strana è che sicuramente non è stata una competizione per il cibo, gli orsi stavano mangiando del mais lasciato dal gestore del capanno appositamente tra i fiori e, credo, che non fosse neanche un tentativo di predazione. Probabilmente è stata una rivendicazione territoriale, perché quella radura è assediata dai lupi di notte. Chissà cosa sarà scattato nella testa al canide!? Tutto è durato 5-6 secondi.
