La Maremma Toscana offre al visitatore un panorama pressoché piatto,intriso ancora delle paludi che un tempo la caratterizzavano. Strappato il suolo all'acqua stagnante, grazie alle opere volute dal solito fiorentino detto Canapone, i contadini volenterosi proseguono l'arte di sfidare la Natura per ricavare dai campi almeno qualcosa da mangiare. Sullo sfondo, nella collina quasi al centro del fotogramma, si nota il piccolo borgo medievale di Montepescali. Scatto effettuato a 28 mm.
