Ciao a tutti.
Ringrazio infinitivamente!!:-P ciao erica

Hello to all. I wish someone would explain a few things .... ;-)
- Why in the 4 corners I have formed the small shadows?
- In a few simple steps, how can I remove the excessive light on the clouds without touching the building?
Thank you infinitely! :-P hello heather

Ciao Erica,

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Trascina il canale RGB sull'icona come nell'immagine sotto:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Salvala cliccando sull'icona indicata sotto:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

massi

Hello Erica,

the corners would appear due to vignetting caused by a hood or by a filter ...

For the clouds, then the jpg does not do much, whites are burnt and you can not improve it. But if there are details in the raw you can try starting with that. Open the raw file in PS camera raw. Go to the tab of the channels:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Drag the RGB channel icon as the image below:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

In this way you create a mask of brightness (brighter areas will be selected on the picture). Save it by clicking on the icon shown below:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Once saved you will find a new channel called Alpha 1. Now the selection is tropsomewhat broad and includes part of the sky and the building. To reduce it (by choosing only the lightest areas) must simultaneously press the SHIFT + CTRL + ALT and click on the channel Alpha 1 (to select only the lightest areas of the clouds Repeat this step at least 3 times ):

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

At this point, save the new selection as you did above (you create the channel Alpha 2)
Back on the layer (the selection is still active) and add an adjustment layer 'Curve 'by clicking on the icon to create a new adjustment layer:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

At this point you just have to change the curve until you get the desired result :-)

I hope that I have not messed up too! hello ;-)
rocks

Calolzio?
Ciao
Guido

Calolzio?
before I know that I have to put in my camera raw cs5 because I am surprise

Impossible, Camera Raw is an integral part of PS. If you open a raw file in PS, Camera Raw opens automatically. At worst, repeat the installation.
Hello
Guido

Ciao Guido...hai indovinato.
PossibileEeeek!!!Eeeek!!! Dove lo cerco?
ciao e grazie erica

Hello Guido ... you guessed it. :-) As for Raw, I assure you that nn is installed on my cs5 otherwise I would have started to shoot in raw to learn. Those in my raw, not open and I get the message NEF.
Would you like nn I've seen? Possibilewow! Wow! Where do I look for?
hello and thank you erica

First, go to the HELP PS -> Info on the plugin ... in the list and see if there is room Raw
In relation to the outcome of the verification, then we see the following.

That is, Camera Raw is on the list? If yes, click on it to see the version.

So I would say to redo the installation of PS, I do not remember if you can choose which components to install, if control is selected Camera Raw.

I also heather are a beginner and made us all to migliorarimi .... so I took the liberty to try a little with your photo and indeed for the clouds is impossible because they are burned ... I could only questo.ho also straightened the whole thing because it seemed rather crooked ... hello hello

In this version I see a clear blue halo around the upper part of the chimney.
It 'clear that from a jpg burned the clouds are not recoverable, perhaps (but not necessarily, and in this case I would say no) may be starting from the raw.
For this shot, the easiest solution seems to me to switch to a vertical cut, excluding at least in part the clouds burned on left.

Guido....concordo con il taglio verticale...Sorriso
ciao e grazie!

@ Tony ... thanks ... means that it will save your which is much better. :-P I realized that was wrong but now I had posted and had commented so I have not changed.
Guido .... I agree with the vertical cut ... :-)

A parte i problemi tecnici, io l'avrei fotografata in diagonale ..

Apart from the technical problems, I would have photographed diagonally ..

The photo itself, given the quality of the other, is not that it is particularly challenging and I think you already know, but you're the only one I've met so far to have posted "industrial archeology" and this makes me feel close!

For me the corners are darkened by the lens hood!

PS: I thank you for having me included among your friends but do not expect other follies as the stone for a while '! ;-)
