Thanks Stearm. Using a telescope, Meade ETX125EC (Maksutov optical configuration on computerized altazimuth mount), instead of the eyepiece a monochrome CCD camera ASI120MM with an infrared filter (cut frequencies visible under 700 nanometers, for reduce the effects of atmospheric turbulence). Sounds complicated but in the end it just takes a little practice and patience. Ah, then there is the part of postproduction, where you process the material acquired through specific software.

Many but many years ago spent a part of my first salary for a refractor from 60 mm, I also remember the first attempts of photos made empirically (3 0 4 Good on 36) in the pursuit of the craters, I already admired the stupefaciente beauty that sovrastava...ma I have not Never applied so when I see these shots... shoot a little ' nostalgia...al of the ramblings anyway beautiful/and photos, hello G

Dear friend Nostalgia is always there, when you evoke regrets, and I am the King...
However, for our activity must not be there, because now the technology helps us to achieve results once unthinkable. What was once destined to the chosen few is now available to those who have: 1. passion and motivation; 2. A little familiarity with computers; 3. A small fund to devote to such a hobby (I have spent in all 700 euros...).
then we must devote himself to the theory (I have read 6 times the book of the immense Daniele Gaspari, before executing the first shot....). Everyone can make it in their own little one.
Thanks for the compliments.

Did you see that the rhyme of the Alpestris Valley you photographed..? 125mm are an opening to the limit for a Mak and that is why you have been very good; You managed to squeeze the instrument to the fullest of its possibilities.
