Given that by now Icelandic images I find them quite a bit inflated, this I think he has that little something extra that makes it special. I really like the shot that you are getting, the blur of water is essential to fulfill the story. Beautiful light, congratulations! Bellissima luce, complimenti! |

Very very beautiful. Orton effect too far? Not by much. Usually you see pictures with colors and shades much more subdued, almost as if the colors blend with each other.
Here all I see is a beautiful close-up of the water lapping against the rocks with the classic silk effect and a beautiful total composition. The Orton is quite different.
A greeting
Marco Molto molto bella. Effetto Orton troppo spinto? Neppure troppo.

I agree with Turbolumaca, is chock full of images with this effect, but here we have first of all a very special and then the body of water that breaks is the icing on the cake ...:-P Concordo con Turbolumaca, è pieno zeppo di immagini con questo effetto ma qui abbiamo anzitutto uno scorcio veramente particolare e poi la massa d'acqua che irrompe è la ciliegina sulla torta... |

Let me start by saying that I'm a nobody, however in these situations I would maybe applied two different opacity orton for the enlightened parts and those in shade, I use it a lot to make the more diffused light but I think here I would have preferred to have more detail on rocks.
Just to create a constructive discussion useful for everyone.

Thank you very much to everyone for the positive comments!
With regard to the debate on orton: I don't know if it really is a problem of orton as noted by Matthew. In many of my shots I tend to keep soft shadows open thread contrasts, as a matter of personal taste. This can sometimes be confused with the orton effect, given that both approaches are designed to soften the contrasts and obtain a more "soft". My usage of orton is very simple, no mask and no particular procedure, duplico the layer, and then drop the opacity Abdul Ghaffar Saifi around 10% to make the image softer. I don't like the effect that makes a mask on a blurred layer, in my opinion makes him lose most of the softness. I'd rather drop the opacity and maintain it throughout the image.
Preferisco calare l'opacità e mantenerlo su tutta l'immagine. |
