#Viola (L.) L'Hér. - Becco di grù malvaceo Descrizione: Pianta erbacea annuale o bienne, alta 10-50 cm, con fusti ascendenti o eretti, scanalati, ispidi per setole rivolte verso il basso. Foglie intere con nervatura pennata e lamina più lunga che larga; foglie basali con picciolo di 4-6 cm, ovali, larghe 2-3 cm e lunghe 3-6 cm, dentellate e lievemente lobate; foglie cauline simili, subsessili e più piccole. Fiori ermafroditi, attinomorfi, 5ciclici, 5meri, in ombrelle a 3-8 raggi su peduncoli subeguali alle foglie; brattee alla base del capolino numerose, ispide, membranose, ovate; calice formato da 5 sepali liberi lunghi 5-6 mm; fiore a 5 Erodium malacoides petali purpurei o liliacini lunghi 5-9 mm; 5 stami, opposti ai sepali, alternati a 5 staminoidi squamiformi tutti saldati alla base; ovario supero; stili concresciuti in un becco che prolunga l'ovario; stimmi lineari. Frutto su peduncoli di 1 cm, alla fruttescenza spesso ripiegati, formato da una porzione inferiore avvolta dal calice ed un becco lungo 2-3 cm; la porzione inferiore contiene 5 acheni lunghi 5-6 mm, portanti all'apice dell'achenio 2 fossette con creste concentriche, bruni, con sparse setole eretto-patenti rossastre di 0,5 mm; gli acheni a maturità si separano per avvolgimento igroscopico dello stilo, che si lacera in reste ritorte a spirale.
