DUE BOTANICI SCOPRONO LA RARISSIMA PRIMULA ROSSA MILANO 23 novembre 1993 L' hanno battezzata primula albenensis, dal nome del monte di rocce dolomitiche, l' Alben, dove è stata trovata. Ed è, come spiegano i ricercatori che l' hanno individuata, "una primula di cui finora il mondo scientifico ignorava l' esistenza, una specie unica al mondo dai fiori di un intenso colore viola purpureo".
