La fantastica, luminosa, colorata e intricata volta raggiunta dalle colonne alte fino a 21 metri. L'interno della Sagrada Familia è stata progettata come se fosse la struttura di un bosco, con colonne a forma di alberi che vanno a dividersi in modo da formare dei rami che sostengono la struttura a volte iperboloidi intrecciate. Le colonne sono inclinate in modo da ricevere al meglio la pressione perpendicolare alla loro sezione, e sono realizzate a forma elicoidale a doppia elica, come i rami e i tronchi degli alberi.
