With the Manaccia I have and the allergy to the tripod I would never venture to buy a 200 mm lens not stabilized (and then I come from the Infernal Tamron 70-300 macro) But I have to say that it has an amazing figure-background detachment and a startling bokeh, on-par if not even Better than that of several other "emblazoned" lenses of those 2.8.
