L'ombra tagliata è purtroppo frutto di una scelta veloce che ho dovuto fare, per lo più in modo inconsapevole, ma determinata dal mio "istinto", per come all'epoca dello scatto esso era abituato a funzionare.
La mia idea era fotografare il paracarro per enfatizzare il gioco di luci ed ombre che si era creato. Ma poi è arrivato il signore in bici e la cosa ha assunto subito un sapore diverso: indubbiamente il piatto si è fatto più ricco, ma più difficile da comporre "in corsa".
Una cosa poco evidente, ma che mi ha guidato in post, è quella piccola lama di luce che si esaurisce verso destra, a terra.
A suo modo, mostra una via, ed il protagonista dell'immagine pare volerla seguire.
Ho scattato una raffica di 3 immagini: questa secondo me è il miglior compromesso, mentre un'altra ha lasciato questo mondo per ragioni di "inadeguatezza". La superstite non mi "suonava" bene, ma la vado a ripescare, chissà. 
Ferrara è uno dei luoghi dove risiedono le mie radici. Questa immagine mi piace perché , nonostante le imperfezioni e gli errori tecnici, ne rappresenta un aspetto che combacia con il mio immaginario e la mia esperienza.
