Ho scattato questa foto al volo, mentre ero in un cantiere con l'operaio che stava fissando questa vetrata artistica ad un'apertura della chiesa a 15 metri di altezza. Gli elementi della scena mi hanno richiamato molti significati: l'ingombrante sagoma scura controluce, l'avvitatore - quasi un moderno sistema per crocifiggere - il martello infilato in un tubo del ponteggio che ho inquadrato in corrispondenza del braccio della croce, i putti alati che guardano la scena, la croce con il sudario sullo sfondo; ci sono crocefissi e crocifissori, operai che lavorano per vivere altri che muoiono sul lavoro e per il lavoro, ombre scure e certezza di luce, inquietudine e risurrezione.
