truly beautiful! you have built everything with great attention and precision in the details. However when you do the nautical license the nautical charts are used and how!

Thanks Lorenzo for your kind words.
Yes, the cards are used even now.
I have a boat license and I have learned to read and use them: what, that has fascinated me, but in the yachting almost always below the coast are not used.
They become indispensable in more demanding navigation and GPS should only serve as confirmation
Happy Easter

Already in fact I also have a boat license and up to 12 miles I never use the cards. Over 50 miles instead can sometimes serve, es. to trace routes and avoid being 10 miles from the final destination :-)

It is all beautiful and evocative and plausible, excellent warm light and the atmosphere with beautiful arrangement of the elements; I am not very convinced by the point of recovery with candle and glass hanging on the left, I would have tried other pdr and compromise to show them aligned ;-); congratulations in any case Sergio and Happy Easter Parties to you and your family.
Greetings, Claudio :-P

Thanks Claudio for your careful observation of the shot. You're right, the inclination of candle and glass disturb a pico.
The PDR was chosen so as to have a perspective similar to that which would have those who worked on a nautical chart, I had tried some shots from above, but I did not like it at all.
Now that you have pointed out the military thing, I wonder if it would not have been better to use the 50mm rather than the wide angle
Thanks again for your comment and thanks for the good wishes, that spare, of serene

Thanks Jancuia
The idea has matured from being in the house of old nautical charts with the signs of time and use, so I wanted to give him "honor" with this shot.
I had also tried a black and white version, but it did not convince me.

Thanks Stephen I'm really happy with your appreciation for both photos and caption title.
It would always be preferable to trace the routes in life, rather than to go adrift ... even if sometimes ... some digression from the route, there can also be.

Nice comment your Fabrizio. You can not stop the future and it would not be right to do it, but turning back has to be done: everything starts from there thoughts, inventions of today, born from the past in a continuous becoming.
Thanks for your words.

Sergio
