Even if you did not specify Marco I'm pretty sure it's a focus stacking and I'm glad to read that it was done by hand ... ;-)
From the visual point of view the image, in my opinion is nothing short of spectacular and even the stacking is not bad even if some smudges are visible (overlapping leaf-abdomen and wing-abdomen) due to the assembly, certainly performed on Photoshop that it's usual to do it, correctable with 5 minutes of post-production ...
In any case, you deserve a lot of compliments! ;-) Anche se non lo hai specificato Marco sono praticamente sicuro che sia un focus stacking e mi fa piacere leggere che è stato realizzato a mano libera... 
Dal punto di vista visivo l'immagine, a mio parere è a dir poco spettacolare e anche lo stacking non è niente male anche se sono visibili alcune sbavature (sovrapposizione foglia-addome e ala-addome) dovute al montaggio, sicuramente eseguito su Photoshop che è solito farlo, correggibili con 5 minuti di post-produzione...
Meriti in ogni caso tanti complimenti!
