Really a beautiful image ... of one of the few remaining stone bridges on that stretch of road ... 8-)
Being a part of my family coming from San Giovanni in Persiceto ... many years ago ... before that slowly we lost sight because of the advanced age of relatives and or other interests of the younger ones ... this We used to walk the road often and from the memories I have ... there were so many stone bridges ...
Then ... as they would need maintenance or more ... they were replaced by more modern bridges and more suitable also for the transit of heavy articulated lorries for the transport of beets and or cereals harvested in the fields.
But the charm of these old stone bridges remains unique ... 8-) Davvero una bella immagine... di uno dei pochi ponti in pietra rimasti su quel tratto di strada... 
Essendo una parte della mia famiglia proveniente da San Giovanni in Persiceto... tanti anni fa... prima che pian piano ci si perdesse di vista a causa dell'età avanzata dei parenti e o per altri interessi di quelli più giovani... questa strada la percorrevamo spesso e dai ricordi che ho... di ponti in pietra ve ne erano tanti...
Poi... man mano che avrebbero avuto necessità di manutenzione o altro... sono stati sostituiti da ponti più moderni e più adatti anche al transito di autoarticolati pesanti per il trasporto di barbabietole, cocomere, meloni e cereali raccolti nei campi.
Fino ai primi anni '60 dello scorso secolo... lungo quella strada vi erano ancora diverse risaie.
Il fascino di questi vecchi ponti in pietra rimane unico... |
