Credo che ogni fotografo paesaggista abbia la sua personale concezione di “cos'è un paesaggio” e “quale sia il paesaggio per eccellenza”. Io posso raccontarvi la mia personalissima idea di “paesaggio” e come si è sviluppata: dalle medie, quando ho iniziato ad appassionarmi ad i paesaggi del mondo, ricordo quando studiando geografia vedevo queste immagini della “taiga”, queste immense distese di conifere spesso immerse nella neve. Da lì mi è rimasto il pallino che per me QUELLO era il paesaggio perfetto, idilliaco, quello che dopo un po' realizziamo esser probabilmente una nostra costruzione mentale, molto idealizzata, e quasi sicuramente inesistente nella realtà. O almeno, ero convinto fosse così. Poi mi sono ritrovato di fronte a questo fiumiciattolo quasi ghiacciato, con le acque così calme che sembravano uno specchio e con un merlo acquaiolo che pescava lì a due passi da dove stavo scattando. Quella scena idilliaca che tanto mi ero sognato l'avevo davanti agli occhi, e la cosa più bella è che aveva addirittura superato ogni mia aspettativa. Non so se esser triste perchè non ero riuscito ad immaginarmi una scena così bella od esser felice perchè adesso so che sulla terra esistono luoghi così incantevoli! Sono cosciente che a livello fotografico magari non sarà uno dei miei scatti migliori, ma per me, a livello personale, questa è una delle più belle foto che abbia mai fatto. Aggiungo come piccolo postulato che ho appena aperto il calendario con le date dei miei tour nel nord per la stagione 2018/2019 sul mio sito, quindi per coloro interessati a seguirmi in questi posti (ci sono partenze per Lofoten, Islanda e Lapponia) si faccia un giro sul mio sito www.leonardopapera.com .
