Sul marciapiede di via Po, a Torino... "PIETRE D'INCIAMPO - In tedesco si chiamano Stolpersteine (Pietre di inciampo) e sono un monumento diffuso e partecipato ideato dall'artista germanico Gunter Demnig, in memoria delle vittime del nazi-fascismo. L'idea è quella di produrre delle piccole targhe di ottone poste su cubetti di pietra che vengono incastonati nel selciato davanti all'ultima abitazione scelta liberamente dalla vittima. La targa riporta di norma l'iscrizione «Qui abitava…», il nome della vittima, data e luogo di nascita e di morte. In questo modo, il passante moderno che distrattamente cammina sulla pietra "inciampa" nel ricordo della persona che viveva quella casa e che, da un giorno all'altro, si è vista portare via tutto. Così, impercettibilmente, quasi per caso, la mente è costretta a uno stop e a fare un salto indietro al triste tempo delle deportazioni. Sono i singoli cittadini, le associazioni o chiunque desideri ricordare una vittima dell'Olocausto a richiedere la posa di una di queste pietre. Stolpersteine è il monumento dal basso più diffuso a livello europeo: sono state posate fino a ora oltre 50.000 pietre in tutta Europa
