Sono stato a Tivoli un paio di estati fa. Mi ha sorpreso, e non poco, per la bellezza del posto e dei magnifici monumenti che vi si possono ammirare. L'acqua è l'elemento predominante: la città è ricca di fontane e nasoni. Quello riprodotto nella foto è uno dei più belli. Dietro, sullo sfondo, si intravede uno scorcio del tempio della Sibilla. La ricchezza delle acque che circondano ancora oggi la città favorì nelle diverse epoche l'impianto di grandi complessi architettonici. Gli esempi più straordinari sono la Villa Adriana, di epoca romana, la cinquecentesca Villa D'Este, con le sue stupende fontane, nonché la Villa Gregoriana costruita nell'ottocento all'interno della valle del fiume Aniene. Vi invito caldamente a visitare Tivoli: non ve ne pentirete.
