La prima estate può essere uno spettacolo con le fioriture ma essendo zone con elevazioni molto diverse non sai mai dove e quando ci sono i fiori e sopratutto anche a fine giugno puoi tranquillamente trovare posti come Crater Lake e le Sisters bloccati dalla neve, oltre a tutti i vari monti delle Cascades.
Ma se penso alla varietà di paesaggi accorpati in questi due stati e alle opportunità fotografiche penso che possano considerarsi sicuramente la primaria destinazione fotografica in USA. Lo Utah anche ha dei parchi spettacolari, ma nessuno altro stato ha la stessa varietà di paesaggi di Or+WA, dalle campagne di Palouse, alle painted Hills, ai deserti, alle coste frastagliate, alla foresta pluviale dell'Olympic peninsula, il Crater Lake, Mt hood, St Helen e Rainier, Mt.
