Anacamptis coriophora (L.) R.M. Bateman, Pridgeon & M.W. Chase - Orchide cimicina Pianta erbacea perenne con 2 tuberi globosi sessili o subsessili ed alcune radici secondarie. Il fusto eretto, alto da 10 a 40 cm, liscio e glabro, foglioso fino in alto è inguainato alla base da squame scariose. Le foglie basali disposte in rosetta, sono glabre e senza macchie, hanno profilo lanceolato, sono strette, aguzze e lunghe fino a 10 cm, mentre quelle cauline, progressivamente più corte, inguainano il fusto e quelle superiori somigliano a brattee. Infiorescenza densa e multiflora (20-40 fiori) a spiga molto variabile da cilindrica allungata a corta e conica, lunga 3-7 (10) cm è provvista di brattee biancastre ai bordi e verde pallido al centro, più lunghe dell'ovario del fiore relativo (specialmente quelle inferiori): I numerosi piccoli fiori ermafroditi, di colore dal rosso più o meno scuro fino al biancastgro e verdastro hanno odore variabile gradevole di vaniglia o sgradevole di cimice. Tutti i segmenti del perianzio, ad eccezione del labbro, sono raggruppati in un cappuccio oblungo e acuminato, rosso-brunastro, con venature verdi. Habitat: pinete, prati magri, dune e greti fluviali consolidati della fascia litoranea, di pianura e collinare da 0 a 1.500 m di altitudine.
