...Gios hai fatto benissimo a citare The Boss, quella canzone è veramente struggente, così come è stato per noi struggente visitare il National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
Le immagini dell' attentato le abbiamo viste e riviste alla TV, ma vi assicuro che scendere li sotto è stata una vera e propria immersione nel disastro. L' emozione cresceva ad ogni scalino sceso...una volta giunti poi di fronte alle fondamenta di quelle che erano le due torri e vedendo il muro con affisse le piastrelle colorate in ricordo delle vittime ci ha fatto "visualizzare" ancor meglio quante fossero...
Tornati in superficie la voglia di fotografare era nulla, mi sembrava di voler fotografare un cimitero...ho dovuto sforzarmi ed ho cercato di far qualcosa con il massimo del rispetto.
Con questa foto in particolare

ho cercato di rappresentare che, nonostante tutte le nefandezze delle quali siamo capaci come genere umano, può esserci una speranza. Voglio credere che possiamo essere capaci di ricostruire la Pace ed una luce di speranza è giusto che possa accendersi...bisogna saperla cercare e vedere.
