Blackbird - thanks - the colour was a pale dull greeny yellow that was not exactly unattractive but as I am sure you know, going b&w means you can selectively lighten and boost the contrast to any level you like, without the 'colour' being effected.
This image has had enormous light levels and contrast boost in the central areas and much darkening at top and sides, all of which affect colour and not in an attractive way. You can end up with a blotchy mess that is impossible to colour correct.
I had always conceived the image to become black and white anyhow, from when I took it. |
